"Helping people efficiently and well, that's what I think is important!" Plastic surgery is restoring form and function. Together with a patient, I look at how we can restore the function of a hand as best as possible. This can be a problem due to old age or an accident. And this does not always have to be done with an operation! To come to the best possible solution together so that people can do their work or hobby again is very satisfying every time. In addition, I do a lot of reconstructive surgery, especially after cancer. This can be: the breast, the face or also the pubic area. I was one of the first in this region to do a lot of microsurgery. But such a large, complicated operation is of course not always necessary, or the best choice for everyone.
More about Luitzen de Boer
Drs. Luitzen de Boer studied medicine at the University of Groningen. He was trained as a plastic surgeon at the Isala Clinic in Zwolle. He has been working at the Catharina Hospital since 2007. And since 2010 at the Xpert Clinics Eindhoven and Venlo. Drs. de Boer is a member of the Dutch Society for Plastic Surgery (NVPC), the Dutch Society for Hand Surgery (NVVH), the Federation of European Societies for the Surgery of the Hand (FESSH) and the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS). He is a professional member of the medical disciplinary board.

Hand and wrist surgery: complex (and simple) hand and wrist surgery, rheumatoid surgery and joint replacement, tendon transposition surgery (for spasticity or nerve failure), hand and wrist trauma
Breast reconstructions: microsurgical breast reconstructions (DIEP flap), reconstructions with prostheses or own tissue (LD flap)
